Position Title: Research Scientist – Analytical

Reporting to: Group Leader – Analytical
Position Purpose
The incumbent will provide support to the Process Research team by assisting in reaction monitoring using various analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, LCMS), characterization of compounds, and development of assay methods for final product analysis. Other responsibilities include analysis of impurities, physical characterizations, residue content, and stability studies.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Actively imbibing the values and philosophy of PI Industries
- Efficient contribution to the overall success of CreAgro Analytical Chemistry through scientific contribution and supporting team performance according to objectives and targets being set by the leadership team
- Remain at the cutting edge of knowledge required for the new a.i. discovery activity in crop protection through constant updating of personal knowledge and own skill-sets
Operational Responsibilities
- Experimental determination of physicochemical parameters of small molecules
- Analyzing the experimental results using Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism
- Conducting stability studies and spectroscopic & chromatographic techniques
- Evaluating equipment required for the work and operating them
- Preparing study strategies, implementing SOPs, and documenting analytical results
- Compliance with safety requirements
Financial Responsibilities
- Working within the budget limits
- Suggesting areas for cost improvement to the Team Leader / Group Leader
People Responsibilities
- Collaborating with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure research objectives are met
- Ensuring team harmony through collaboration and active participation in team discussions
Education Qualification
MSc in Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Agriculture from a reputed University/Institute with excellent academic credentials
Work Experience
2-5 years of hands-on experience in assay of a.i. by potentiometry, HPLC, GC, impurity purification/analysis. Experience in chromatography method validation is an added advantage.
