ICAR-IARI, the Indian Agricultural Research Institute located in New Delhi, is seeking a Young Professional-I for a contractual position in the Division of Vegetable Science. The position is available in the project “Characterization of important Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants through DNA Barcoding” funded by CCRAS. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to field crops, molecular/tissue culture lab work, and basic computer knowledge. A walk-in interview will be conducted on 30.11.2023 at 10.00 A.M in the Division of Vegetable Science at ICAR – Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

Salary: Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated)

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualifications: Graduates in relevant subjects or Diploma holders in relevant Agricultural Sciences (as per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn. 1-06/2020-A&P Dated 04.12.2020)
• Desirable: M.Sc. in Biotechnology with experience in handling field crops, molecular/tissue culture lab work, and basic computer knowledge of MS Office. Additionally, experience in report writing, data entry, and tabulation is preferred.

Terms & Conditions

1. Age Limit: Minimum Age is 21 years, and the maximum Age is 45 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST/Women and three years for OBC) for Young Professional-I.
2. The position is purely temporary, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project. The appointment will be yearly based on progress and fund availability.
3. The selected candidate cannot claim for regular appointments at the Institute as the position is co-terminus with the project.
4. The interview of eligible candidates will be held as per the given schedule.
5. Candidates are required to bring the filled-in application form, original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate (original or provisional), one set of self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates, and an attested/self-attested recent passport-sized photograph pasted on the application form.
6. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
7. Only candidates with essential qualifications will be interviewed.
8. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification or termination of such candidates.
9. Candidates must submit the application form along with the declaration at the time of the interview.
10. If any candidate has a relative working at ICAR/IARI, they must declare the name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in advance via email to [email protected] by 27.11.2023. Candidates making such declaration on the date of the interview, and their relative is found to be an employee of ICAR/IARI, will not be allowed for the interview.
11. All other candidates must also submit a duly signed declaration on the date of the interview.
12. Candidates are required to strictly submit the duly signed application form on the date of the interview.
