Job Profile
Applications are invited from candidates with expertise in plant physiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry for an Associate Research Scientist position in our company. We, at Sea6 Energy, work with marine macroalgal biomass to provide solutions for agriculture, food, and energy. The Associate Research Scientist will be responsible for the execution and analysis of research projects related to the improvement of crop growth and development. A working knowledge of agrochemical formulations, biostimulants, and specific packages of practice for different crops will be required to successfully complete research projects. The candidate should have an ability to independently execute, analyze, interpret experimental results, and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Educational Qualification
PhD Degree in Agriculture (plant physiology/molecular biology/plant biochemistry) with research experience in abiotic stress management
, crop, and quality improvement. Experience with plant-soil evapotranspiration (gravimetric system) platforms like Plant Array would be an advantage. Having a work experience of up to 2 years is desirable.Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot product efficacy research projects under laboratory, polyhouse, and field conditions.
- Present research data in R&D lab meetings in a clear, insightful manner.
- Contribute towards reports, presentations, and summaries of research projects undertaken.
- Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
- Contribute towards product development.
- Maintain accurate experimental records using the company’s laboratory notebook systems.
- Travel with this role will be expected 5-10% of the time.
- Candidate should be fluent in English. A working knowledge of Hindi and/or a regional language is desirable.
Salary: On par with the industry standards.
