The University of Madras, Center of Advanced Study in Crystallography and Biophysics, located in Guindy Campus, Chennai, is inviting applications for the position of Two Project Assistants. The project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and will be supervised by Prof. P. Karthe and Dr. Preethi Ragunathan.

Title of Project: Multi-targeted Lead Identification for Metabolic Disorders (Diabesity) through in-silico and biochemical characterization
Emoluments: Rs. 24,800 p.m. (Rs.20, 000 p.m. + 24% HRA)
Duration: 3 years
Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biophysics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular biology/ M.Tech – Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering
Desirable Experience: Experience in cloning, recombinant protein expression and purification is highly desirable.
