We are pleased to announce an exciting job opportunity at VIT Vellore. Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for an ICMR-funded project titled “Machine learning-based model for the diagnosis of SARS-COV2 infection and prediction of strain type using viral genome information” (FILE NO. BMI/12(13)/2021).
Qualification
- ME/M.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology.
- Minimum 3 years of research experience with strong publication records.
Required Skills
- Proficient in Machine Learning with deep expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS).
- Experience with programming languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, and R.
- Experience in multi-omics integration and visualization is preferred.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
Duration and Stipend
- Duration: 6 months
- Number of posts: One
- Sponsoring agency: ICMR
- Stipend: Rs. 35000/month + 9% HRA
