Recruitment of Training Co-ordinator (1 No.) for PMFME Programme (Temporary Position)

CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of 1 (ONE) position of Training Co-ordinator on a temporary contractual basis initially for a period of Six Months which is extendable based on project requirements.

Job Title: Training Coordinator (Food Processing)

Qualifications:

1. Age: Maximum age of 50 years as on 12.11.2023
2. Educational Qualification: PhD/Post Graduate in the area of Food Technology / Food Processing / Food Science or allied areas
3. Experience: At least 3 years relevant experience in reputed organizations related to food processing (industrial/teaching) or post-harvest processing. Must be familiar with PowerPoint presentation/MS Word document preparation
4. Desirable: Experience associated with fruits & vegetables processing/Spices Processing/Grain Processing etc.
5. Proficiency in Kannada is mandatory (Read, Write and Speak)

Job Responsibility:

Coordinating various training programmes targeted to farmers/FPOs/entrepreneurs at HQs/various parts of the state in association with Scientists of the Institute. The coordinator has to provide both lectures/practical demonstrations on food processing technologies, aligning with One District One Product (ODOP) concepts. The job will

also involve travelling to various parts of the state (Karnataka) for coordinating and conducting training activities.

Period / Duration of Contract: Initially for six months, which is extendable based on project requirements

Emoluments: Maximum of Rs. 60,000/- subject to other service guidelines

Mode of Selection: Selection is to be done either on online/offline Interview.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The engagement will be on purely temporary and contractual basis for a maximum period of Six Months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the project/desired level performance or conduct of the incumbent, as the case may be.
2. The engagement of Training Co-ordinator is exclusively for the above-mentioned programme and the tenure shall be co-terminus with the project duration or till the funds are available, whichever is earlier.
3. The engagement under the PMFME Programme does not confer any right/ claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR-CFTRI / CSIR, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent. It would therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, on the part of the candidates for regularization/absorption against any post in CSIR/CFTRI or under any other scheme of CSIR.
4. Performance would be reviewed periodically and tenure may be terminated with one month’s notice or one month’s stipend in lieu thereof based on performance.
5. If already the candidate is working in CSIR-CFTRI or in any other CSIR labs “No objection certificate” from the PI should be submitted.
6. The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for submission of applications i.e. 12.11.2023.
7. The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, should be in relevant area of work/field indicated against such position which shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum essential educational qualifications prescribed for that position.
8. TA/DA will not be paid for attending the interview.
9. If the number of candidates applied for the above posts are large in numbers, the selection committee will further shortlist the candidates on the basis of suitable shortlisting criteria to meet the desired objectives.
