ICMR-National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health, under the Indian Council of Medical Research, is conducting a walk-in interview for a project assistant position. The project, titled “Delineating pathogenesis of obese and lean PCOS phenotype using integrated transcriptomics and proteomics approach,” is funded by the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Zoology / any other relevant area of Biology
Desirable: Experience in molecular biology techniques, next generation sequencing / mass spectrometry along with bioinformatics tools
Age Limit: 30 years
General Instructions:
- Candidates who wish to apply must download the application form from the website of ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai.
- Applicants should fill the application form and bring all the original certificates of educational qualification, experience certificates, etc., along with one set of self-attested photocopies and a recent passport size photograph for the walk-in interview.
- Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India Rules.
- Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
- Fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are not eligible.
- Written test may be held to shortlist candidates for the interview, if required.
- Applications submitted in incomplete format or without the requested documents will be rejected.
- The Director & appointing authority has the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
- Two references should be provided from responsible persons in the candidate’s locality.
- The offer of engagement will be subject to verification of original certificates. If the candidate is found ineligible, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process.
- The above post/s are filled-up on a purely contractual basis and the candidate will have no right to claim any type of permanent employment under ICMR-NIRRCH or continuation of their services in any other project.
- Candidates are advised to be present at the venue on time. The walk-in-written test/interview will commence after verification of all the original certificates.
- There are no residential facilities for contractual staff.
- Candidates should regularly check the website of the Institute for any updates or changes.
- Calculators, log tables, and communication devices like mobile phones, tablets, iPads, etc., are not allowed inside the examination/interview hall.
