The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
M.S. / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology with minimum 70% marks / or equivalent grade. Additional percentage cut-off will be applied during the screening process if needed.
Preference:
Candidates having one year experience in broad area of SUMO biology and an interest in gut biology and genetics will be preferred.
Tenure of the Appointment:
12.02.2024 to 12.02.2024 which may be extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of
the project.Consolidated Emoluments per Month:
- Rs. 25,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance for candidates without NET/GATE qualification.
- Rs. 31,000/- + 24% House Rent Allowance for candidates with NET/GATE qualification or equivalent scorecard.
Age Limit:
Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualifications and/or experience may be considered for candidates having higher qualifications and experience with prior approval.
