Walk-in-interview for engagement of Project Staff under different Projects to be held on 04.12.2023 from 09:00 am onwards as per the details given below:
With the aim to expand and strengthen the areas of Neurobiology, Virology, Parasite Biology, Endocrinology, Human Genetics, Analytical Biochemistry, Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Process Chemistry, Statistics, IPR & HR Management, the Institute is looking for enthusiastic, talented young researchers / professionals with brilliant academic record, proven scientific achievements and zeal to conduct research as per the mandate of the Institute aligned with National Missions. Due weightage will be given to the candidates involved in the product development/ technology innovation/applied technology / translation research. The positions offer exciting opportunities for career growth as per the Flexible Complementing Scheme for Scientists.
Post I
Principal Project Associate (One position)
Position Code No: 001
Title & Tenure of the Project: (GAP0446) Target Enabling Packages for Non-hormonal Contraception
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in life sciences/reproductive biology/protein biology
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience of two years or more (supported by relevant scientific publications)
- Experience in gene cloning, protein purification, antibody generation, IHC, cell culture, in vitro assay designing, enzyme assays, drug target engagement assays would be preferred.
Stipend: Rs. 49,000/- + 18% HRA p.m.
Upper Age Limit: 40 years

Project Associate I (Nine positions)

Title of the Project: (GAP0446) Target Enabling Packages for Non-hormonal Contraception
Essential Qualification: Masters Degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Biochemistry/ Allied biological Sciences discipline
Desirable Qualifications:
- Work experience (dissertation training or project work) within the area of Protein Chemistry, protein purification, gene cloning, biological assays, enzyme assays, cell culture, IHC, and protein localization, reproductive biology, or drug screening.
- CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
Stipend:
- Rs. 31,000/- + 18% HRA p.m. to Scholars who are CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
- Rs. 25,000+18% HRA p.m. for others who do not fall under (i) above
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Tenure: Upto 14.10.2026

Project Associate I (One position)

Title of the Project: (GAP0446) Target Enabling Packages for Non-hormonal Contraception
Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience/interest in computer-assisted scientific research in the area of Drug Design including Biomolecular modeling and simulation studies, Virtual screening, pharmacophore perception, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based computer systems/Machine Learning methods would be an advantage.
- CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
Stipend:
- Rs. 31,000/- + 18% HRA p.m. to Scholars who are CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
- Rs. 25,000+18% HRA p.m. for others who do not fall under (i) above

Post IV

Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/Allied biological Sciences discipline with research experience of two years
Desirable Qualifications:
- Research experience (preferably supported by relevant publications) within the area of Protein Chemistry, protein purification, gene cloning, biological assays, enzyme assays, IHC, cell culture, and protein localization, reproductive biology, or drug screening.
- CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
Stipend:
- Rs. 35,000/- + 18% HRA p.m. to Scholars who are CSIR-NET/DBT-JRF/GATE Qualified
- Rs. 28,000+18% HRA p.m. for others who do not fall under (i) above
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Tenure: Upto 14.10.2026
Timing:
Eligible candidates are required to report for the Interview at 9:00 AM on 04.12.2023. Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be entertained. The venue is CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, B.S. 10/1, Sector 10, Jankipuram Extension, Sitapur Road, Lucknow-226031.
General Conditions:
- Age relaxation will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/PWD & Women candidates as per Govt. of India/CSIR/Funding Agency Guidelines.
- Suitable Candidates may be empaneled for future requirements under different projects.
- The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of the interview.
- The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for consideration for regularization against any CSIR/CDRI post(s).
- The number of positions against the various projects can vary at the time of selection depending on the requirement of the institute.
- Position Code will be canceled if funds are not available in the advertised concerned project.
- The Director, CSIR-CDRI has discretion to increase or decrease the number of positions or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
- Interim queries will not be entertained.
- While coming for Walk-In-Interview, candidate(s) are advised to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines.
- No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
Note:
Candidates who fulfill the requisite qualification and age will be allowed to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview. A written test in the subject area will be held, if required, to shortlist candidates for the interview on the same day depending upon the number of candidates. The interview may be continued for subsequent days also; therefore, outsider candidates are requested to make their own arrangements accordingly.
