Welcome to Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. We are currently inviting applications from qualified Indian Nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the field of Bioinformatics.
Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 positions)
PI: Dr. Amaresh Panda
Project: “Analysis of the impact of mRNA-mRNA/circRNA interactions in pancreatic β-cell physiology” (Funded by Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance)
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Eligibility & Selection
Candidates should have an M.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or allied Life Science subjects with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC). Additionally, candidates should have qualified NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE/GPAT/BET. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in bioinformatics analysis, cell culture, or molecular biology techniques.
Age Limit
The candidate should be below 28 years of age, as on 12.12.2023. Age relaxation will be given as
per the Govt. of India rules.Application Process
Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply online through the Institute of Life Sciences website (www.ils.res.in). The application should include all necessary documents such as copies of mark sheets, educational certificates, experience certificates, NET/GATE certificate, etc. Incomplete applications and applications without the mentioned documents will be rejected.
Selection Process
The selected candidates will not have any right to claim explicit or implicit for any post in the Institute of Life Sciences. The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the ILS website and intimated over email. The decision of the institute regarding the selection of the candidates will be final and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
