Process and Guidelines
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is seeking dynamic and creative students eager to learn about natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. The interns will contribute to NBA projects in various States and Union Territories, providing technical assistance to the State Biodiversity Boards/UT Biodiversity Councils in fulfilling their mandates.
Description of Tasks:
- Assist in the operationalization and functioning of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) in States and Union Territories.
- Assist BMCs in the preparation of People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs).
- Assist in the implementation of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
Locations:
Interns will be placed at NBA – Chennai, MoEFCC, and State Biodiversity Boards/UT Biodiversity Councils nationwide.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Postgraduate or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (3 Years / 4 Years including Engineering) with an interest in Natural Resource Management.
- Age between 21 – 30 years as of the closing date of the application.
- Candidates pursuing their Postgraduate degree may apply but must submit a copy of their Masters Degree by October 01, 2023, to qualify for the internship.
Number of Internships: 25
Stipend: ₹22,500/month
